Discover Titanic at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery this summer
Discover and experience the story of the world’s most famous ocean liner this summer at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery in the latest special exhibition, Titanic: Honour & Glory.
Once you are immersed in the history of Titanic, recreate your very own Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet moment on the prow of the ship on the Balcony overlooking the Shropshire Gallery.
Titanic: Honour and Glory is open from Monday 2 July – Sunday 30 September 2018.
The first two public exhibition events for the NHS Future Fit consultation took place on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 June in Telford and Shrewsbury – with around 300 people taking up the opportunity to find out more about the Future Fit proposals.
More public exhibition events will be taking place across June, July and August, details of which can be found on the 'Get Involved' page'.
Surface dressing programme for summer 2018 announced
Shropshire Council has announced its programme of roads that are to be surface dressed this summer.
The 2018 surface dressing season is due to start on 22 June and continue until the end of August.
In total 61 sites have been identified for treatment across the county on all types of road, from urban cul-de-sacs to major A and B roads.
London2Brighton Challenge? Completed it
Rod Thomson, director of public health, completed the 100km/60mile London2Brighton challenge in 23h 52m!
Walking the100km route from the capital to the coast, Rod joined over 2,500 adventurers of all ages and experience levels in taking on one of the UK’s greatest endurance events.
Rod is still accepting donations if anyone wishes to contribute to the nursing charity he is supporting.
