2020 May Bank Holiday date change
The early May Bank Holiday in 2020 will move from Monday 4 May to Friday 8 May to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day. The change, announced in June 2019, is a Government decision.
What does this mean for me / my service?
It’s merely a change in date rather than an additional holiday, and the usual arrangements for a Bank Holiday will apply. For full details of allowances for Bank Holidays, please refer to HR guidance on the intranet, or speak with your line manager.
