The Shropshire Together Campaign
We are pleased to launch the Shropshire Together Campaign, a collaboration with local media, partners and organisations. This campaign aims to celebrate Shropshire’s response to Covid. We want to tell the stories of triumph, support and care that keep the county going through what is arguably the greatest challenge for most of our lifetimes.
To help highlight this work, we’ve brought together some of the organisation's logos who are providing frontline services. This image will be popping up all over the county to show our unity and we hope it will become a lasting symbol of our combined effort.
More information will be released soon as the campaign is gaining momentum.
We first mentioned this on Wednesday. We’ll be launching this internally on Monday and sharing details of how to sign up, so please have a think about whether you have someone in your life who might benefit from the technology at hand.
On Friday 8 May the nation will pause to remember those who gave so much in the Second World War and commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day. While we’re all staying at home, there is lots you can do to commemorate VE Day.
We’d love to see photos and videos of what you are doing to take part, whether that be putting up bunting outside your home, dressing in red, white and blue or taking part in the nation’s toast at 3pm on 8 May. Please share your photos and videos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Virtual Cabinet meeting
We held our first ever virtual Cabinet meeting last Wednesday and we were really pleased with how well it went. Initial comments have been very positive and we’re not aware of any major problems - we’ve invited councillors, officers and the public to let us have their feedback.
Thank you to all colleagues and councillors who helped to make the meeting possible and helped it run smoothly.
