There have been lots of questions and queries regarding annual leave and the Council’s position is clear. Please, if you want to take leave then discuss it with your line manager as for many roles now is a suitable and appropriate time.
We are not in a position to give a blanket statement about this and it’s down to the discretion of managers but we are not super-human, we need to rest and having time off around now is very normal and we should cling to any normality we can!
Hints, tips and staying in touch

We all need to feel connected and reaching out to colleagues to find out how they're doing is vital right now.
Many of you are working at home: many of you are out on the frontline, supporting our vulnerable residents and providing vital services to local communities.
Wherever you’re working, we want to see photos of you at work, to share with other council staff and – for those of you on the frontline - through our other communication channels, to show everyone what a brilliant and valuable job you are doing.
All you need to do is take a photo or a selfie and send it to Steve Murphy in the communications team – email@example.com – adding who you are, where you are and what you’re doing.
And please add a note to say if you’re happy for it to be shared outside of the council
